She’ll probably have to use several different programs over the next few years to keep her progress going so her body doesn’t adapt to the exercise. This is normal. Turbo Jam is a good program to start with. It has several different lengths of routines. There is even an introductory one called Lean & Burn that shows how to properly do the moves in along with a 15 minute workout. She can start with the shorter ones, then as she gains strength and endurance, can move to the longer ones. It has great music and is a lot of fun compared to traditional cardio exercise videos. She can make it as low or high impact as needed just by how bouncy she is and still get a good workout. It will help with endurance, balance, and conditioning.

However, a healthy diet including portion control is as important than what exercise to do. It doesn’t matter what exercise she will do, if she is still eating too much or the wrong foods. I’m glad she is on a diet from her doctor rather than a fad diet.
